Each person looks for something different in their counsellor.It is important that you find a counsellor that you feel comfortable and compatible with because being in counselling can be painful as difficult subjects are discussed or as new meanings emerge.
It is perfectly acceptable to meet some different counsellors, for an initial session, before embarking on a “contract” with one. (This just means an agreement to work together).

I have an interest in working creatively which can be helpful if you are someone who finds it difficult to express yourself verbally.
I am also happy to offer telephone counselling and evening sessions in certain circumstances.
